Today in the #HITsm twitter chat, the first question asked was around the top Health IT achievements in 2011. The responses were pretty interesting.
Here’s the summary list of Top Health IT Achievements in 2011 per the #HITsm chat:
#HITsm Community Creation
EHR Adoption
Standards Consensus
Meaningful Use
Blue Button
Direct Project
Consumer/Patient Engagement
CDA Consolidation
Are there other achievements that we missed in the chat? Let me know and once I collect any additional items, I’ll put them into a future poll where people can vote on what was the top achievement.
Here are the full tweets of the health IT achievements that were mentioned:

As key open source projects, Blue Button and the Direct project can be joined by OSEHRA, http://osehra.org/, a crucial bid to make VistA work outside the VA.
Andy,
The Vista open source has been a long time coming. Did it make a lot of progress in 2011?
