Every doctor I know worries about their online reputation and the plethora of sites that are cropping up around physician reputation. Managing it with limited time and resources is a challenge and is the topic for this week’s #HITsm chat. Come and share your insights on the best ways to handle online reputation management and experiences you’ve had as a patient when it comes to rating and reviewing your providers.

Here’s the full list of questions that will serve as the framework for the #HITsm chat on Reputation Management:

T1: Should providers be interested in their online reputation? Does it matter? #HITsm

T2: As a patient, have you ever read a review after being referred to, or before selecting, a new physician? #HITsm

T3: Have you ever written an online review for a healthcare experience? If so, was it generally positive or negative? #HITsm

T4: Is there an expectation that providers (individual and/or organizational) respond to social media engagements by patients? #HITsm

T5: What would a healthcare provider who is exceptional at managing their online reputation look like? Is there an example? #HITsm
