gloStream is a software company headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, USA, that provides American physician practices and healthcare facilities with electronic medical record and practice management software. gloStream software is developed in Nashik, India and sold through a nationwide network of Value Added Resellers (VARs) in the U.S.

History
gloStream was founded in 2005 by Yaw Kwakye and Milind Ghyar as an electronic medical record software company. The first version of gloEMR, gloStream’s EMR software, was delivered that year. The latest version of gloEMR, is gloEMR version 5.0.
In 2006, Mike Sappington joined gloStream as Chief Executive Officer and in 2007 launched the company’s Reseller/Partner program. In 2009, gloStream re-launched its Partner Program and today more than 100 Partners represent gloStream throughout the U.S.
In 2009, Kirk Aubry joined gloStream as Chief Operating Officer, Piyush Khanna joined as Chief Technology Officer, and Paul Dobbins joined as Vice President of Offer Management. Also in 2009, gloStream began developing practice management software. In 2010, gloStream started providing gloPM, the organization’s PM software, to physicians nationwide. It also launched gloSuite, the organizations integrated EMR and PM product.

gloStream and Microsoft
gloStream is a Gold Certified Microsoft Partner, and in 2009 Microsoft invited gloStream into the BizSpark One Program. BizSpark One, as described on the BizSpark Website, is an invitation-only program designed to accelerate the growth of selected high potential companies through a one-on-one relationship with Microsoft and a global community of advisors, investors, and peers.
According to a 2010 Computer Reseller News article, gloStream software is positioned as the only medical practice software with Microsoft Office built right in and the gloStream-Microsoft relationship is one of 10 collaborations that will impact healthcare in 2010 and beyond.
