Make sure you get buy-in for your EMR implementation in all parts of your organization. Beg, borrow, steal, mandate, grovel, or whatever it takes to get buy in before you implement an EMR.

EMR consultants should do a comprehensive analysis to show how an EMR implementation will reduce costs, increase revenues, and better care for patients. Quantifying the potential returns on an EMR investment generates significant buy in at all levels of a clinical organization.
