EMR vs. Paper Charts
This page is still under development, but the plan is to have a listing of all the reasons why EMR is better than Paper Charts. Here’s a post that I have already done about pluses for EMR over paper charts.
Here’s a few more ideas off the top of my head that I’ll be posting more on later:
-Much Easier to Find Charts
-Multiple People Can Use a Chart
-Lab Results Returned Automatically
-XRay Results Returned Automatically
-Save a Tree
-No Misread Writing
-Scripts Printed Readable
-Spell check
-7 copies of records in multiple places(db backup)
-Drug/Allergy interaction checking
