Fun Friday – HIPPA Sign

Only readers of this site could enjoy this pharmacy sign. Thanks to HIPAA One for sharing the picture with me. Have a great weekend everyone! Stay Warm!
HIPPA Sign - Or Should We Say HIPAA Sign?

Maybe the pharmacy thought that HIPPA with two P’s stood for Patient Privacy. Of course, a quick search through posts on my site turn up 18 posts with HIPPA. So, this might be the pot calling the kettle black. I just enjoy the humor of humanity.

  • I took the above picture two days ago at a notable grocery store with an in-house pharmacy. It is real, not staged! I couldn’t help but smile. In a kind and gentle manner I informed the attendant that HIPAA stands for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and has 1 P and 2 A’s.
She looked it up on her computer and replied, “I stand corrected”.

I explained that I’m not a weirdo, have never won a spelling bee and the ONLY reason I knew how HIPAA was spelled was because it is found in our company name. We both had a good laugh and wanted to share. Thanks John!
